Last year we saw the Miami Dolphins struggle as they went through the season. We also saw how they played well down the stretch and how head coach Brian Flores had them playing hard and strong. Flores made the most out of the roster he had last year and this year, along with some very good moves in the NFL Draft, he has turned them into a legit threat. The Dolphins are on a mission to show the rest of the league that this is no fluke.
Ryan Fitzpatrick led the way for them in the first half of the season. He showed a lot of poise as he played hard and with a passion as he always has. Fitz also helped tutor rookie quarterback Tua Tagovaiola who has now stood on his own two feet in recent weeks as he has taken over the starting quarterback position for the Dolphins as they now have a record of 8-4 and look to be one of the contenders in the AFC.
The Dolphins have gotten wonderful play from players such as cornerback Xaverian Howard, linebacker Jordan Baker, tight end Mike Gesicki and undrafted running back Salvin Ahmed as well as running back Myles Gaskin. These are just a few of the players that have helped to contribute to the Dolphins winning season. There is something special going on there and you can feel it and see it if you have followed them since last year. A new atmosphere has taken place in the locker room and on the field and Brian Flores has a lot to do with that.
Flores of course, was coach in New England. He coached linebackers and defensive backs as well as being a defensive assistant. Being part of three super bowl winning teams helps a lot also.
